What a morning! Our recent breakfast session with the dynamic Angela Revell from Revellation was everything we hoped for – and then some.
Set against a backdrop of laughter, hot coffee, and great company, Angela delivered a powerful, fun, and deeply insightful workshop on the DISC communication styles. If you’ve ever wondered why some people seem to speak your language while others leave you scratching your head – this session connected all the dots.
So, what did we learn?
Angela took us on an engaging journey through the four DISC styles – Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness – breaking down each with real-world examples, personal anecdotes, and the kind of humour that makes learning stick.
Whether you're a straight-talking D, a people-loving I, a calm and caring S, or a detail-driven C (or a mix!), the session gave everyone a chance to uncover their own style and better understand how others tick.
From boardrooms to living rooms, these insights are gold.
Valuable things we learnt:
•Learning to adapt communication styles for smoother workplace and relationship dynamics
•How to recognise when tension is just a style mismatch – and how to manage it with empathy
•The reminder that being different isn’t wrong – it’s just different
Real Talk, Real Impact
Angela’s style is the perfect balance of bold, relatable, and refreshingly honest. She reminded us that understanding people isn't about labels or boxes – it’s about building bridges. And from the nodding heads and lightbulb faces in the room, it’s safe to say she hit the mark.
Thank You!
A huge thank you to Angela Revell for sharing her brilliance, and to all of our incredible members who showed up with open minds and big energy. The conversations continued long after the session ended – always a sign of true impact.
We left with full bellies, open hearts, and a whole new lens on how we connect with the people around us.
Here’s to better communication, fewer misunderstandings, and a bit less treating your partner like your coworker (yep – guilty again!).
Until next time – keep connecting, keep growing, and keep being wonderfully human. 💛
