Our Annual Wellness Day, truly one for the heart and soul

From the moment everyone arrived, there was this energy in the air which was calm, grounded, but also buzzing with excitement. Seeing each of the amazing Ignite women show up for themselves in this way, it was just so special to witness. Everyone was open, willing and ready to really lean into the experience and that energy carried through the entire day.
We kicked things off with Teeny Brumby, Mayor of Burnie and a total cold water enthusiast, who led us through the ocean immersion. She brought such a beautiful mix of encouragement and courage, helping everyone push past that “three minute” mark and fully embrace the experience. Hearing afterwards how many of the women had never done it before (and even one who said it had been on her bucket list forever!) honestly gave me goosebumps.
After that icy dip, we warmed up with a delicious immunity shot, the perfect little boost before morning tea prepared by our very own Kat from Wild One Catering (who also spoiled us later with the most incredible lunch). Everything she made was just so good, nourishing and made with so much love.
Next, Kellie and Abbie from The Health Nut took us through an insightful session all about Castor Oil, the holy grail of natural wellness. Their passion was contagious! They shared the benefits, how to use it and we even got to experience it first hand. You could feel how much they truly believe in what they teach and it made the whole session feel so inspiring.
Then we moved into the magic with Bree from Breeze Massage + Holistic Health, who taught us all about the lymphatic system and took us through some gentle self massage techniques to support our body’s natural flow. She also guided us through kinesiology muscle testing using the body pendulum, helping us tune into what our body really wants and needs. It was fascinating and honestly something I think everyone walked away wanting to try again at home.
After that, Bec Canon got us all up and moving for the most incredible dance session! So many smiles, laughter and moments of pure joy. It was the perfect reminder of how good it feels to get out of our heads and back into our bodies to just let go and have fun together.
And to close out the day, Mixch from Heart Earth Drum led us through the most beautiful cacao ceremony. We sipped, we meditated and then came together in a sharing circle where everyone spoke from the heart about something they were grateful for. There were tears, laughter, and so much vulnerability and that shared openness just deepened the connection between everyone in the room. It was pure magic.
Honestly, it was one of those days that fills you up from the inside out. So many women said how much they loved it and can’t wait for the next one and luckily, it’s an annual event!
So if you missed this one, make sure you don’t next year. It’s one of those days your mind, body + soul will thank you for.
