An evening of creativity + connection at our Pinot + Pottery event

There’s just something special about a room full of women, a glass of wine in hand and clay at the ready. Last night at Marion Storm Cafe our Ignite members gathered for an evening of Pinot & Pottery with the talented Miranda Stephens and

Anna McNeill.

The night began with a mindfulness moment to help us ground, arrive and let the busyness of the day melt away. From there, it was time to roll up our sleeves and dive into creating our very own Goddess Vases. Each one unique, just like the women who made them.

Of course, no Ignite event is complete without good food and laughter. With a delicious dinner followed by the most delicious blueberry cheesecake, thanks to our Claire and her team at Marion Storm Cafe.

There was a lot of fun and laughter around the room of boobs, nipples, bums and more, and every vase seemed to spark another hilarious comparison.

That’s the thing about nights like these. On the surface, it’s about pottery. But really, it’s about so much more. It’s about play, giving ourselves permission to create and have fun in the process. It’s about the connections we build with one another through laughter and conversation. And it’s about the gentle reminders we receive along the way. Creating our goddess vases was a reminder that every woman is different, and that’s what makes us beautiful.

Several women told me the experience transported them back to school art class, reminding them of the pure joy of creating. Watching the room filled with concentration, giggles, and clay covered hands was a reminder of why Ignite exists, to bring women together, not just to network, but to truly connect, play, and celebrate who we are.

Here’s to more nights of creativity, connection, and fun because when women come together, magic always happens.
