Some of you may have already seen the joy and creativity from our last event on Saturday 17th January in Ulverstone, but here’s the run down on what unfolded.
Pure happiness. Teamwork. Connection.
We reached Miranda’s goal of making 100 bowls and did it with ease, simply because women showed up. Around 40 people came together, a beautiful mix of members, family, friends and women who were not members yet but are now planning to be. The conversations since have shown just how special this was as an introduction to Ignite and what we stand for.
Miranda, working alongside Yolanda, created a space that allowed everyone to instantly settle into the joy and relaxation of playing with clay. Together we made 118 bowls in record time, already looking stunning and full of meaning.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme is Give to Gain, and this event aligned with that so beautifully. Women gave their time, creativity and presence to help something bigger than themselves come to life. In return, we all gained connection, joy and a shared sense of purpose.
The plan Miranda dreamed up ties perfectly into one of our most important days of the year, International Women’s Day. Each year we host a meaningful breakfast for 100 women filled with guest speakers, connection and of course a delicious breakfast.
For our 2026 event, thanks to Miranda’s incredibly generous gesture, every guest will receive one of these beautiful handmade bowls, glazed and personalised by a fellow Ignite woman. How special is that. A gift for us all on the day, and a gift for the 100 women to take home.
A truly special afternoon and such a powerful reminder of what can happen when we give, together.
The biggest thank you to Miranda and Yolanda for doing this for us all. Two of the most wonderful ambassadors for this community xx
And again, thank you to everyone who came by to take part in a wonderful, heartwarming event.
