On Saturday September 7th, 2024, Ignite Women Tasmania had the pleasure of participating in The Expo of Everything at the paranaple convention centre in Devonport. The event was all about celebrating learning and bringing local community groups and organisations together for a day filled with fun, discovery, and connection. With over 40 stalls showcasing everything from arts and crafts to hobbies and wellness, it was an exciting opportunity for us to connect with the community.
Our stall featured a delightful selection of self-care goodies, including nail polish, bath bombs, and face masks— and they were an absolute hit! People loved picking up these little treats that encouraged them to indulge in a bit of pampering, but it wasn’t just about the treats—we had a fantastic time chatting with visitors about who we are and what Ignite Women Tasmania is all about. For those new to us, we’re a community-driven organisation focused on fostering genuine connections among women and creating supportive spaces where everyone feels valued and included.
The day was a real success, not only because our self-care goodies were popular but also because of the meaningful conversations and connections we made. The very fabulous Theresa, Gillian and Yolanda had an amazing time meeting so many lovely people who were genuinely interested in what we do. From swapping self-care tips to discussing our upcoming events, the positive energy was infectious. It’s moments like these that make events like this so special for us—the opportunity to meet face-to-face with the community and feel the support and enthusiasm firsthand.
